High Bridge Trail: Join members of St. John's as we hike or bike the trail on Saturday, November 28. Get onur trip as you please. Maps will be provided at the Parish with a designated area to meet at 12:30 PM to eat our bagged lunches.

Advent Retreat: The Season of Advent invites us into a period of quiet reflection. To assist in that goal, St. John's will offer an Afternoon Advent Retreat on Sunday, December 13, from 4 - 6 PM. Using meditations based on the Annunciation to Mary in Luke 1:26-38, we will ponder how we might cultivate a life that is a constant "yes" to God's invitation to life.

Sunday Afternoon Adult Formation: Centering Prayer: A Training Course for Opening to the Presence of God. We will meet Sunday afternoons, September 13 - November 22, from 4:00 PM - 5:15 PM.

Salvation Army Angel Tree:  (children 0-14 years) and Silver Bells (seniors) programs. We will sponsor 12 children and 12 seniors. Please consider selecting an individual and making the holiday season brighter for someone in need.

Chesterfield Food Bank (CFB): St. John's volunteers at the CFB on the 2nd and 4th of the month from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM Contact Angela Howsmon at angela_howsmon@ccpsnet.net or 530-2993 with questions. Wednesdays at St. John's offers a time for study, rest and renewal in Dale's office at 3:30 PM for a Lectionary-Based Bible Study, 5 PM private prayer, and 5:30 PM Evening Prayer in Dale's office.

Supper Seminars: we will continue an in-depth look at the Gospel of John and explore its rich imagery and symbolism. Supper is served at 6 PM and the evening ends at 7 PM. We will meet  December 9. Please sign up to allow for a proper amount of materials and dinner to be prepared. Join us for the meal and conversation!

The Gathering Place/Winter Coats and Jackets Collection:  join middle and high school youth at 1:45 PM in the church parking lot the 4th Sunday of each month on to travel to the Gathering Place for worship and fellowship.  We will return by 4 PM. For the winter months, we will be collecting winter coats and jackets for distribution to those in need. Donations may be sent to the Parish Office.

Used Book Sale:  Gently-used books are in need of a home in the parish hall. 

Men's Bible Study:  Group meets the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at 8 AM in the parish hall for breakfast and lively discussion.  All men of the church are invited to attend.  If you would like to be on the email list or wish to have more information, contact Guy Smith at 748-6216 or cguygo@verizon.net.

Bingo Prizes Needed :  We are in need of prizes to give out to our friends at Lucy Corr during games of Bingo. Appropriate prizes include sugar-free cookies (no hard candy), socks, lap blankets, large print books, puzzles, or word-search books, boxes of tissues, hand sanitizer, hand lotion, small stuffed animals.If you can provide any of these prizes, please bring them to the church office. 

Birthday Box:   The Birthday Box is probably Outreach’s oldest project first started over 20 years ago. It is in the back of the nave waiting for kind people to feed it in celebration of a birthday or other special occasion.  Each quarter, Outreach selects an animal gift from Heifer International to purchase with the money people have given.  

Food Pantry:  Donation boxes are located in the narthex and outside the church office.
